CHATEAU TOUR BOISEE
A.O.C. MINERVOIS WHITE
CUVEE A MARIE-CLAUDE
This wine is made from three wine plants
Marsanne(70%),
Maccabeu(23%), and
Muscat Petit Grains(7%).
The grapes are handpicked, traditionnally pressed and transferred into oak barrels
half-way through the alcoholic fermentation without any temperature control.
Our open air cellar, located under a stone vault at the foot of the 12th century
Tower in the garden (Tour boisée), hosts this wine in oak for over a year.
As the cellar is not isolated from the outside there is no temperature controlled devices,
allowing a northern climatic exposure and hence for "nature to do what it does best".
The Marie-Claude White is the result of a research initiated in 1988
to elaborate a white wine for ageing.
Those who appreciate a wooden touch (from the barrel) may drink it immediately,
and for those who prefer to wait 3 to 5 years may do so.
Free your imagination when choosing your meal with this white.
Great with fresh fish and spicy herbs, seafood platters, white meats,
tasty cheeses.
